Get started with the VETR developer platform
What it is
The VETR developer platform lets you use VETR from your own code and from AI assistants. It has a REST API, an MCP server for tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and two models: FedProc-1 for drafting and live federal data lookups, and FedProc-2 for analysing a full solicitation.
Set up in four steps
- Sign up at the developer sign-up page and verify your email address. Your first workspace is created for you.
- Starter credit. Once your email is verified your workspace receives $3 of starter credit, once per person.
- Create an API key in the console under API keys. The key is shown once, so copy it somewhere safe.
- Make a request. Send the key as a bearer token:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. The in-console API reference lists every endpoint with a ready-to-copy example.
Where things are
- Console: keys, usage, billing and models, at the developer console.
- Connect an AI tool: see Connect Claude, Cursor and other AI tools over MCP.
- Costs: see Credits, top-ups and auto-recharge.
