Generating proposal sections with AI
VETR\'s Content Copilot generates first drafts of executive summaries, technical approaches, management plans, and staffing volumes — grounded in your past-performance library and the parsed RFP requirements.
How to use it
- Open a proposal (Proposals → New Proposal, or click into an existing one)
- In the section tree on the left, click Generate with AI on any section
- Pick a tone (Formal / Conversational / Technical) and length (Brief / Standard / Comprehensive)
- Optionally add a prompt steering note ("Emphasize cybersecurity expertise" or similar)
- Click Generate. Output appears in the editor in 30–60 seconds.
What the AI uses as input
- The RFP requirements for that section (extracted by the parser)
- Your organization profile and capability statement
- Your three most-relevant past-performance entries (matched by NAICS + agency + technical domain)
- Your prior approved proposal sections (for tone matching)
What the AI never uses
- Other customers\' data (strict org-level isolation)
- The literal RFP text — only structured extracted fields, to avoid leaking source-selection-sensitive data into prompts
- Your output — generated content is not used to train models
How to edit the output
The AI is a starting point, not a finished product. Treat the first draft as a structured outline that's 60–80% there.
- Read every paragraph
- Replace generic claims with specific past-performance references
- Strengthen the strengths-and-weaknesses framing for Section M alignment
- Have a second teammate review before approving
Watch out for hallucinations. The AI sometimes fabricates contract values, dates, or technical claims. Always verify any number or proper noun against your real records before submission.
Cost
AI generations are included in your plan up to the monthly cap (Startup: 50/month, Professional: 250/month, Enterprise: unlimited). Each generation is logged in your account's AI Activity tab with token counts and cost transparency.
